Named 2008’s “South by Southwest buzz band” by the Austin Chronicle, Los Bad Apples fuses the sultry rhythms and vocal stylings of Samba, Cumbia, Salsa and Flamenco with irresistable dance beats and smooth Hip-Hop flavor. Their high-energy performances and unique sound earned them coveted spots opening for Grammy-winners Ludacris, Duffy, Ozomatli, Oscar D’Leon and Me’Shell Ndegeocello, and in February 2009 they headlined a Middle East Tour for the Troops which was sponsored by Armed Forces Entertainment and Best Buy.
This diverse group has appeared on various radio and television programs including NPR, FOX, Univision and ME Television, and their debut music video, “Don''t Stop – Muevelo” ranked in the Top 5 Latin videos (next to Daddy Yankee) on https://www.tradebit.com for several consecutive weeks. Band members include polyglot singer/songwriter, Anita Benner, critically acclaimed MC Zeale who was a finalist in the World Rap Championships of 2007, as well as former members of Kumbia Kings, Menudo & Grupo Fantasma whose original works and productions have been licensed for use by MTV and various film & television programs.
