This was the album I had always wanted to make, produced with a full band! Certain people fall into our lives for certain reasons, as Mark Bradley fell into mine to teach me so much about recording music. Mark performed drums & percussion on this album and also helped produce it. The album captures an acoustic/rock feel with tracks like “Gestures”, “Where I Belong”, “Simple”, & “Truth can be seen”. Let “The Painter” take you on the road with dreams, this was such a fun song to record, and is truly my favorite song I’ve ever written. We placed a lot of thought into each song that we felt would bring it to life, and make if fun for the listener. The album was recorded in many stages over a three month period in 2002. I feel that we accomplished a full production and hope you will enjoy the album I always wanted to make!
" ...this fellow has a superb songwriting talent and his guitar playing improved vastly over the years. Now, with this last effort (Gestures, 2002) he has finally turned the corner. The songs are descriptive, moving and full of the special Lance vigor. He has taken himself to a new plateau by fleshing out his already good sound with a drummer, bassist, piano, and guest guitarist. What I really like about this album is that is sounds NATURAL. There is not one whit of looped or synthesized audio here. The sound is simply that of a very good band playing at its best by supporting the wondereful vocals provided by Lance in a straight-forward, no nonsense manner. This is good stuff and will be a welcome addition to any CD collection. Invite yourself for a ride on Lance''s trip. The journey is worth it." -- Gary Burger, Turtle Town Music
