Details:
Lovelight, the new trio CD by Jeff Gardner, was recorded in Brooklyn, NY and features Drew Gress on bass and Anthony Pinciotti on drums. The album has a low key night time mood, all but one of the tunes are Jeff’s compositions - ballads, bossas, a waltz, and even a relaxed funky number – In the Hood. The lone cover is a strikingly original version of Carlos Gardel’s classic bolero – El Dia que me Quieras. The trio is tightly knit and highly sensitive on all the tracks, making for a relaxed and inspiring album.
By the way – the title tune is Luz da Paixao – portuguese for Lovelight.
