Victorio Roland Vargas Mousaa, Apache, was born May, 1949 in New Mexico and entered into https://www.tradebit.comcent''s orphanage in Denver Colorado at the age of four. At the age of fourteen he was sent to farms and ranches to work until he finished High School in Simla, Colorado in 1968. Now a folk muscian raised on folk music, he hitchiked to New York City to avoid the Vietnam draft. He worked with the American Indian Movement (AIM), and recorded with Floyd ''Red Crow'' Westerman on his first record "Custer Died For Your Sins."
He met Pete Seeger in 1968, and also worked with him in the civil rights movements down south, anti-nuclear and Vietnam demonstrations, including the birth of Hudson Clearwater Sloop organiztion. He has performed with many other well-known muscians such as Bob Dylan, Richie Havens who recorded in 1974 "The Indian Prayer" co-written by Tom Pacheco.
