Details:
Albert Bisaso Ssempeke is an experienced musician/instrumentalist. He is the son of the late Dr. Albert Ssempeke who was renowned Ganda Traditional Court Musician in Uganda and overseas. Bisaso began playing instruments while a child at the age of 9 years being taught by his father.
Albert is the Director of the Ssempeke Foundation, initiating conservation and training programs that aim to support Uganda’s indigenous wealth of traditional cultural music.
Albert plays various types of instruments including Enanga (Ganda harp), Endongo (bow lyre), Amadinda (long xylophone), Endere (flute), and Akogo (lamellophone, thumb piano).
