Travis Wesley & Ron Jones are professional musicians who perform throughout the Central Illinois area. Their most recent album, “The More I See You” was released on February 15, 2009 and has gained significant support and interest throughout various areas in the mid-west. The two can be seen performing together simply as a duo, with a bassist or with a full rhythm section, (piano, bass & drums). Travis & Ron use some of the most competent musicians around and strive to provide not only an outstanding performance 100% of the time, but to also integrate musical arts into the communities in whom they serve.
Their style draws from a variety of influences across several genres of music. However, they are centered in the jazz tradition. In Ron Jones, one can hear influence of figures such as Frank Sinatra & Johnny Hartman. Travis’ influences consist of jazz pianists and instrumentalists including Red Garland, Bill Evans, Tommy Flannigan, and Wynton Kelly.
