MERL. L.(aka Merlin Lofton) is a music producer that graduated from Jackson State University. MERL. L. created his own record company while in college to pay for school. MERL.L. sold thousands of copies of his hit single " Bent" which reached #1 on college radio. MERL. L. was also a hip-hop street DJ during high school & college and played at various music venues. MERL.L. also performed in many stage plays through out his musical career.
Captain Granted (aka Ray McCampbell) gained international success and instant stardom with the R&B group "The Mac Band". The group flew to the top of the Billboard charts with the hit single "Roses Are Red" produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface Edmunds. The album scored the group nationwide publicity and performances on "The Arsenio Hall Show", "Soul Train" and a nationwide commercial with the McDonalds Corporation. Captain Granted & MERL.
