JIM MYERS PROJECT (JMP)
Jim Myers has been performing and writing music since the late Sixties. Influenced early on by the Beatles, Animals, Stones, Hendrix, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Byrds, you name ‘em, all the likely suspects of the times!
From his garage bands of the 60s and local folk rock claim to fame, throughout the Midwest and the Rocky Mountains, Jim has continued writing and performing on a limited basis when inspired!
The release of the Jim Myers project cd (JMP) is a compilation of select tunes spanning the late 60s/ early 70s through present day. This release is a strong taste of the quote “classic sound” done for the most part electrically. If you are into the Eagles, Young and a taste of Dave Mathews, you’ll love this version of Jim’s original compositions!
Jim is currently in his home recording studio working on his next project of original material utilizing only his vocals and an acoustic guitar. The plan is to lay down 40 to 50 of the tunes he has written over the past 37 years, a highly anticipated work by those familiar with his music. This cd will be released as a 3 cd set, all recorded old school analog. The first of 3 cds is planned for sometime late April of 2009.
