Kansai Kuukou
Once again Freddie, the only known artist on the planet, has bridged the gap between pop/R&B and Traditional Japanese Enka. Kansai Kuukou, the sophomore release from Freddie, combines two totally different genres of music into one viable commercial style. It all started when Freddie began singing Enka (in Japanese) at different onsens in Japan. Freddie, combining the Enka singing style with his own pop/R&B feeling, naturally created a new style of music. The second song on this release, “Arigatou”, is a duet (in English and Japanese) with Antoinette (“Anchan”). Arigatou, translated into English, means: Thank you.
