Details:
Award winning artist/composer Richard Termini has created an album of eclectic Groove–Fusion-Spacescapes via Rock-N-Roll-a be-bop a-lula. Termini has been making music for many years and has recorded synthesizer and keyboards on many records and film scores. Actor/Director John Turturro''s Mac and Illuminata both use Termini scores and his keyboard work can be heard on record from Cyndi Lauper to Type O Negative. The founding member of the Avant-guard New York Space Ensemble plays Piano, analog and digital Synthesizers, Theremin and various other objects.
This long awaited solo recording, Termini, ‘Ba Da Bi Ng’ (Bada-Bing) is a must have.
The song ‘Desert Dogma’, is the collaboration with Pat Condell. This is especially poignant given the facts of the world today. On time and timeless. So in the words of Frank Zappa ‘shut up and play yer guitar’. Get this CD, turn it up and let it take you there.
Powerful, rich, deep, loud, raw, spaced out with grooves that kill. Vince Cyclone Drummer of the Cyclones once said of a Termini song from the ‘States of Control’ film soundtrack ‘ I broke my leg listening to Wobble’. That pretty much says it as best as any one can about that song. Gives new meaning to the show biz phrase ‘break a leg’. So dig it, buy it, spread in on a sandwich and eat it. Now. You will be better for it.
‘Ba Da Bi Ng’ also includes the mega track ‘ Hunormus and Dismangled’. This thirteen-minute groove takes us where only New York City FM radio would have in a bygone epoch. Tuttie Fruttie –ah Rudy!
So learn the new dance ‘Oz Shunt Spoon Jump’ and sing along with the ‘Desert Dogma’ with Pat Condell, fire all your guns at once while grooving on ‘Hunormus and Dismangled’ and get yourself all dismangled. It is about time any way.
Get that blood blasted with’ Blasted Blood’, check in on your ‘Spooky Tooth’… for some fine Theremin, and relax at ‘Laguna’ only to ‘Rocket’ to 2328. The whole trip finishes with a couple of personal messages for the whole gang. One piece is named for William and is in fact William’s Theme written in 1993. William was almost named Modesto but that is another story.
The next to last track for those who know what they are talking about will make all the sense in the world. It is but a humble and small tribute to a fine player and a grand contributor to the rock n roll of all of our lives. Cheers to you Mr. Wright. RIP.
So in the end, buy it. You will listen to it every day for months to come. And if you feel it tunes up your ability to see into the future, well, there is no extra charge for that bonus track. How could there be? Love like this only comes once in a lifetime. So beat me daddy eight to the bar and dig. No buttons to push.
