After playing as a side-man for such acts as Paul K and the Weathermen and Chris Mills, fronting the Sublunars, Sans Saran and other Indie-rock fiascos, and writing and performing music for theater and film, Where the Pale Girls Go is Matt Reed''s first solo release.
Partially paid for through an endless cycle of wedding gigs, Where the Pale Girls Go was intermittently recorded at Narnia Studios in Logan Square, Chicago and on a Tascam 4 Track cassette recorder during late 2003 and 2004.
Playing most of the tracks himself, the 13 songs on the album highlight Matt Reed''s abilities as a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In addition to Matt''s guitar, bass, drum, Rhodes, Farfisa Organ, accordion, clarinet and harmonica playing, the album also showcases the violin playing of Zach Brock and the pedal steel playing of Brian Wilkie.
Matt Reed is currently playing out in support of Where the Pale Girls Go, released in June 2005.
