the U.S. playing everywhere from your local dive bar to your over-the-top stadium show.
Praises from Bob Dylan, John Fogerty, David Byrne, Brian Setzer and Billy Joel hailing the Cruzados "next big thing". Sorry if they let you down. They had fun trying!
Some of the more memorable moments of the Cruzados career include Fleetwood Mac inviting them
to play on a three month incredible tour....sitting on a bed at three in the morning in Florida with Stevie Ray Vaughan strumming guitars....playing to a hundred thousand plus crowd at Farm Aid and standing between Neil Young and Arlo Guthrie singing "This Land is Your Land" while the sun set. The constant support from INXS (R.I.P. Michael), who took them under their wings on several different tours. The last Cruzados tour was opening for INXS on their European leg; the highlight being in Paris at The Olympia. Absolutely the best backstage after-show party ever!!
Cruzados hit it hard and loved nothing more than playing to a packed club of people who were ready to let it all out and forget about their worries for a couple of hours. If you saw them live you probably went home feeling exhausted, sweaty, ears ringing and most likely a little drunk - but feeling like you were a part of something special that night - as if you were at a great block party with family and friends.
For those of you who were there - many, many thanks. For those of you that missed the Cruzados - where the hell were you at a Flock of Seagulls concert?
