Sydney Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Caitlin Harnett has been quietly making a name for herself and has just released her debut EP “Tiny Spark”, recorded with Matt Fell at Love Hz studios. The beautifully crafted 6 track EP includes 5 originals and a cover, which is a duet.
The opening track “Sleepwalking” won her the 2008 Young Songwriters Award at the Apollo Bay Music Festival. The other tracks range from the poppy “Throwaway” to the haunting “Lighthouse” through to the unique version of the country favourite “Jackson”. Hard to categorise, her songs have the lilt of folk, the honesty of country music with a touch of pop.
The original songs have been brought to life with the help of some talented musicians including Matt Fell, Sam Hawksley , Glenn Wilson and Daniel Conway.
Onstage, Caitlin has a disarming innocence but also a confident maturity for her 18 years. She has a quiet poised stage presence that hushes the entire room and has the audience hanging on every delicate note.
