The first new full-length original George Fryer and the Combo album in four years, “Strike”, will be available worldwide digitally on iTunes, and on Compact Disc at stores, gigs and online January 2009.
All sounds recorded entirely by the three members: Dave Felde (of the Swingin’ Tikis) on bass, Wolf Scheffler (of Sidecar, Tub) on drums and GF (Peace Corp., Sugar Ray) on guitar and vocals at Mambo Studio in Long Beach, engineered by Wade Wilkinson (Sublime, Snoop Dogg, etc.), no keyboards or samples used.
Straight up California guitar rock with elements of country, reggae, blues, ska, punk, pop, raga, rockabilly, influenced by the Clash, Who, Beatles, Police, Johnny Cash, Pretenders, Love, Dylan, Byrds, Van Morrison, Doors, Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater.
