Singer/Songwriter James Thomas hails from the heart of the Midwest in Kansas City and has been writing songs and performing on the road since 2000. After Four albums, a few #1 hits on indie radio and moderate success with the Christian Rock Band Unified Front (2000-2005), Thomas spent the last three years finding new musical stylings. In winter of 2005, his first solo attempt came in the form of a haunting, bare-bones acoustic EP titled, “Safe In Sound”, which he mainly sold exclusively at local coffee house shows around the Kansas City area. Now with the debut of his first full-fledged studio album, “Redemption”, James Thomas looks to express his spiritual journey through honest lyrics and catchy melodies. Songs such as “Redemption” “Tonight” or “Glory and Majesty” capture that catchy radio friendly sound whereas “Father God” and “All I Am” keep that haunting sincere feeling left on Thomas’ last EP. Look for more of James Thomas in the years to come, but especially now in 2009.
