Rick Brockner has a long history in the music world. "Daughter of The Acoustic Revoltion" is his start as a solo artist, a lot of friends help out here. Rick and his old friend Jan Johnsson sold a lot of "Fiddlin'' With A Dulcimer" from this site. Rick followed up with "Bridges and Brockner" with 16 year old Cora Beth Bridges and made an even better Fiddlin'' CD with her. The CD "Along Time" and other of Rick''s music is going to be out on independt label "Rifined Records." The name of their CD is "Black Mountain Brew" look for it soon in a store near you. Cora Beth is now a college student and so this CD markes the last recording we will do. Rick as a writer has written music played all over the world and in two flims as well. The state of North Carolina asked to use four of Rick''s songs in a video. The video is on the hisrory of the Blue Ridge Highway and Western Carolina. Rick has donated his Royalites as this film will be shown to all fourth grade classes in the state. Rick opted for education over making money when children and education it comes first. This is a fun and diverse CD with Rick''s friends as a band for the first time in a long time. Neal Spulding from "Two Dollar Pistols" on bass for most songs. I wanted a new and now folk CD like I hear on the radio with drums and all. Take a listen its new, and has great players as well. Look for a new folk music solo CD from Rick is due out in fall 2005. Three songs from this CD where playing all summer on the Twang Radio Network. The song "Up On The Mountain" is in heavy rotation played sixteen to twenty times a day. This goes to show there is some Roots left in acoustic pop music.
