Neil Seidel is one of LA''s top studio musicians. A master guitarist and composer, Seidel is currently scoring films, commercials and documentaries through his studio Independent Creative Sources.
Seidel''s expertise spans many musical genres. He is a former member of the critically acclaimed Indian world music group, "Shanti", the hit rock n''roll band "Gary Lewis and the Playboys" and is listed in "Who''s Who in Country Western Music"
His recent projects include the release of his second jazz CD, "Vintage Guitar II", "Dreams of Mexico" and "The Heavenly Melodies of Shlomo Carlebach VOL 2"
Seidel co-wrote the title track for the newly released DVD/CD, "Soul To Soul"
which has been underwritten by the Grammy Association and released on Warner/Rhino
label. He recently scored the documentary “Divertimento,Everyday Dancers” a film by Edgar Lippman.
Neil''s involvement in Jewish music began with the meeting of Shlomo Carlebach in 1971. An immediate musical relationship began which spanned twenty three years until Shlomo''s passing.
Neil and Patricia Seidel produced," Days Are Coming" for Shlomo as well as "Shlomo Stories", which features Neil''s solo guitar playing and Shlomo''s unparallel story telling. Neil also appears on "Open Your Heart" "Holy Brother" and several other CDs
with Shlomo.
Neil Seidel''s eclectic guitar style is a combination of classical guitar, flamenco, Mexican, Middle Eastern and American pop & jazz. Neil is considered one of the top exponents of quality Jewish music and was Shlomo Carlebach''s favorite guitarist.
