Rosemarie was born in Sussex, England and came to Canada when she was 8. She moved from Ancaster, Ontario to Vancouver in 1997. Her big break came with the B.C. Festival of the Arts call for entry for singer/songwriter''s. One of the songs she sent them was "Eyes of the Angels". She was accepted as one of 14 applicants out of 100 entries to perform for the first time in front of 250 people! She was honoured to have shared the stage with the great Stephen Fearing and Colleen Eccleston.
She had such positive feedback from various audience members that she decided to continue on with her dream. Hence the birth of her first independent CD "Eyes of the Angels".
Rosemarie is also a poet and photo artist (see her website). She has sold many of her photos and photo art cards, and has some of them in Chiefswood Museum and is currently selling them at the Tsawwassen Art Centre, North Delta, and Ladner Pioneer Library''s gift shops. She is presently working on a book of poetry enhanced by her photography. "I love nature and like to capture its spirit. What we have done to our planet concerns me but my photos show the beauty and purity of the things around us. Do stop and smell the roses! Take care of Mother Earth."
"Eyes of the Angels" is a very romantic, spiritual, soft and intimate CD. It''s a passionate and inspiring headphones-type CD. So, dim down the lights, light some candles, put your feet up, put on your headphones and enjoy!
Another new CD is in the works for release in 2008. She also appeared on TV for the month of August/07 on a program called "Spotlight" and has a couple of great newspaper write-ups which will are on her website along with other clippings.
