The songs were written while Ethan J. Perry was living in the historic Poets Row neighborhood of Denver, Co. The building he lived in at the time was the Robert Frost building. Down the street was the City O'' City Cafe, where musicians, poets, writers, artists, and scenesters all hung out. Denver was popping with bands and singer-songwriters, and generally there was a creative buzz in the air. Halfway through production, Ethan moved to Seattle, finished the production of the album in his new surroundings. The album, "The Bohemian Bitch and Other Songs from Poets Row" is mostly an album about unrequited love.
