The Painkillerz is a recently formed Orange County based country/blues/rock band headed up by veteran musician and singer/songwriter Frank Battisti and top slide guitarist and lap steel player Brian Rogers. The band blends a gritty southern rock and blues guitar sound, with catchy and memorable vocal melodies that, according to fans, leave a long-lasting impression. Perhaps that’s why they have developed a strong fan base through their live performances in the Orange County area. Each member of the band brings a diverse background and set of influences to the music. This debut CD, Thousand Miles From Nashville, is living proof that the long absent storytelling lyrics and catchy melodies from the likes of Dylan, Petty and the Beatles, is alive and well in 2009.
