Details:
Artie Q has always been misunderstood ... a step out of time, or shall we say a step ahead of his time? Cut his teeth on the English Pop Culture of the early 70''s—Roxie/Bowie/Slade/T Rex, etc. In the late 70''s while the world was lauding Punk, he was into Electric Chicago Blues: Albert/ Freddy/BB, etc. By the 80''s he was making videos as a finished entertainment product, while others used them as a marketing tool. (“Let''s find out where our target demographics are, boys ...?” Perh-lease!) By the 90''s having segued through Original Musicals and avoided that awful pitfall all aging musicians are prone to: I am getting on in years now, so I suppose I better start appreciating Jazz—Fuck that! Long live pop music, I say. Late 90''s, RTQ realized his vocal hooks fitted in nicely with those bubbling soundscapes of Trance and Electronic music ... however, this was just a phase, and so he returned to his true love—pop music, but now, with an ambient feel, a
left over from his dance excursion. And here is where he remains.
