Details:
I am a composer of some twenty-years experience. I have written music since childhood but began my professional career as a classical pianist. I won a scholarship to study the piano in London, where later I won many Festival piano competitions, and was a finalist in a National Music Festival. I then started a career as a concert pianist in London, and played at venues throughout the UK including the Purcell Room at the South Bank. I was also a lecture recitalist.
Roughly at the same time, I changed to music composition. My first taste of success came when I won the Oxford Festival''s composition competition. Later on I was a national finalist at Liverpool Institute of Higher Education''s Composer''s Forum. I now write music, books, and practice Transcendental Meditation.
WRITTEN ON THE WATERS consists of nine instrumental tracks spanning
different periods of my life. As I do not have a captive orchestra by my
side, the music uses sound samples from my extremely patient computer.
