Lloyd Mac Hardy, a Nova Scotia Singer/Songwriter, speaks to the hearts of working people, using songs built from a lifetime of experiences with folks from this country. A real Canadian bard, cut from the fabric of Canadian life.
Writing and playing songs for most of the last 30 years, Lloyd started performing at the request of the Harbour Folk Society in Halifax-Dartmouth, N.S. From this historic stage in Eastern Canada, Lloyd found his voice.
Lloyd’s simple presentation found a home in many coffee houses, variety and benefit shows, concerts, as well as festivals around Nova Scotia and some parts of Ontario.
His most recent recording “4 Door hardtop” has found it’s way to France, Germany, Poland and Switzerland.
Lloyd is a peoples poet. Easy to listen to because he is singing what we’re thinking about. He shares the experiences that we live and has the skill to write them down, with a flair that makes you sing along feeling that you already know the tune.
Lloyd received honorary mention in the Independent Singer/Songwriter Association song writing contest in October, 2008.
