THE WRIGHT COMBINATION
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Michael and Dianne Wright were born to make music! Their professional career has taken them around the world and before heads of state. Dianne began at age thirteen when her Belizean grandparents moved from New Orleans to Los Angeles. She studied opera, piano, ballet, ballroom, Afro-Cuban and tap dancing. Michael, a native of Los Angeles, is a "natural" musician and singer whose innate love of music was fostered by his family. His uncle, Pee Wee Crayton, was a legendary rhythm and blues artist in the late 1940''s and 1950''s.
As the Wright Combination, they have performed on stage and in the studios with the likes of Liza Minelli, Vikki Carr, Patti LaBelle, Henry Mancini, Frank Sinatra, George Carlin, Carl Anderson, Dolly Parton and Telma Hopkins. Michael and Dianne toured Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East as featured soloists with the famed a cappella choir, the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers. They were also part of the RCA recording group, The Friends of Distinction, of "Grazin'' in the Grass" and "You Got Me Goin'' In Circles" fame.
Call them music historians, singers, songwriters, parents of two, teachers and performers. Always ready to share their life experiences, Mike and Dianne aren''t ready to slow down yet!
