Details:
Will Dudley, the son of a soldier, grew up on Air Force bases around the world, and misspent his youth taking every wrong direction he could find. He worked as a songwriter for Co Heart Music in Nashville, owned by Hank Cochran and Willie Nelson, and has performed from Bar Harbor, Maine to Seattle with the likes of Ian Tyson, Charlie Daniels, Don Edwards, the late Townes Van Zandt, Tanya Tucker and John Prine among others.
He''s been jailed in Austin, shot at in Nashville, caught in a blizzard in Wyoming, and stranded in New Mexico. He rode a horse into the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix to entertain and sing for their guests, and has been flown to Dallas by the mayor to sing for his constituents. He likes to spend his summers singing for guest ranches in Colorado, and his winters are normally spent in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico doing the same in the bars, hotels, and guest resorts in those states. There are some truly amazing musicians surrounding him on this CD, including Grammy Winners Stuart Duncan and Al Perkins.
On a personal level, kids like him, he doesn''t embarrass himself unnecessarily in public, and his voice has been described as a "gentle baritone".
