This collection explores the music of Erik Satie by means of the guitar. The pieces are arranged for guitar solo and guitar paired with various other instruments and voice.
Ed Eastridge, most noted for his collaboration with the late Danny Gatton, produced the recordings. Mr. Eastridge has been a fan of Satie’s music since his childhood and finds the music well suited for the melancholy nature of the guitar.
The recordings were made in the Upper Connecticut Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. All of the musicians reside in Vermont and New Hampshire with the exception of Adam Larrabe (mandolin, guitar, banjo) of Charlottesville VA. The collaboration is known as “Eddy and the Esotériks” and the members include:
