Details:
Goop was born on New Year''s Eve 1999 after a toxic spill at an experimental nuclear research facility in San Antonio, Texas. After the accident, the band spotted a light at the end of the millennial tunnel through their darkly-tinted wraparound shades. That light was the comforting glow of an exposed nuclear reactor core.
Members Billy Lazer, Mick Quark, Eddy Current, and Max Trash make no excuses for taking up the gauntlet thrown down by DEVO, Soft Cell, The Cure, Polyrock, and many of their other synthesizer-smashing forerunners.
Goop forces the best synthetic sounds of 1977 through 1982 through a decontamination unit for your protection. This music has been described by the New York Post as "New Wave for the Goop Age". It''s also been called "Page Six music for mental deviants." We don''t know exactly what that''s supposed to mean, but one thing''s for sure--you should grab a pair of wraparound shades and give this band a spin. Hurry, before the rad count goes any higher.
