Eight people from South america, Bosnia and Sweden creates an
explosive mix of music styles. The latino rhythms mixed with balkan ompa, gypsy swing, turbo ska and laid-back reggae has made Faela a greatly appreciated live-act at venues and festivals across Europe.
The band, based in Malmö, Sweden, was formed 2006 when lead singer Hugo Coronel wanted to perform combining his original songs with some great musicians. It quickly became a local success and since then, Faela has just been growing in popularity.
Summer/Fall 2008, the band toured in Germany, Austria, Spain, Danmark, Norway, Poland and Sweden. With a constantly growing fan base in Europe, Faela is longing for a great tour 2009.
Drums, double bass and guitars forms a rock-solid ground in sync with the heartbeats. Accordeon, violin and trombone fills the ears with powerful melodies and solos. The two singers encourages the whole body to jump and scream.
Faela are recording a full-length cd in spring 2009 so please be patient, it will be up here by summer!
