Details:
Thomas Martin Scott - I had to start using my FULL name because BMI kept sending me checks for the Theme to Family Ties ( The T.V. show with Michael J. Fox) that was done by Tom Scott. That confusion increased when I took up the Saxophone. Over the past four decades, I have made the brunt of my living playing music…some style, some instrument, somewhere.
I have opened for Moms Mabley, The Allman Brothers Band, Ricky Nelson, The Judds, Ronnie Milsap, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, & Maria Muldaur.
I have run sound for Leo Kottke, Buddy Miles, Stanley Jordan, Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul and Mary )Eric Burdon & The New Animals, Riders In The Sky, Tanya Tucker, David & Keith Carradine, & Shawn Colvin.
I was a cast member of Dennis Weavers 6 night a week Show in Ouray, CO.
I have performed with Rodney Crowell, Keith Carradine, Mack Vickery, John McCuen & Jim Ibbotson of the NGDB. I have produced 73 CD’s…18 of my own.
As a session player, on these various projects, I have played Slide Guitar, Dobro, Electric Bass, Upright Bass, Mandolin, Banjo, Lead Guitar, Drums and all sorts of Percussion, Piano and Keyboards, Native American Flute, Tenor & Alto Sax.
David Bowyer Productions used one of my Instrumental CD’s, Wiohiyanpa Takiya, as a soundtrack for a Docu-drama on Skinwalkers.
I am an Endorsed Artist of Curt Mangan Strings and of Hunter Saxophone, New York.
I am currently working on my 19th cd of all original material.
