John knew how to sing all of his life because his mother taught him. He and his siblings sang as a group in church for years. John started out by teaching himself how to play and in 1964 he left Virginia and ended up in Ohio where he played with Mike Hollie. That was the beginning of a life long love of writing, arranging, playing and producing his favorite music. In 1985, "Boss Pee" released his first album, "Freshen Up America." Then, in 1987, he released his second album "Let''s Do It Baby." In all, "Boss Pee" has released eight (8) Rhythm and Blues albums and two (2) Gospel albums.
