The Boomerangs were formed in 2008 at SUNY Purchase with members Russ Barrnett (guitar), Ian Feulner (guitar), Clay Wilson (bass), and Dave McNamara (drums). They are associated with the alt-country scene, but draw from wider influences- each member of the band has distinctively different listening habits and this can be heard throughout their first effort "Bridle the Gale".
