Flautist ULRIKE H. ANTON was born in Austria (Graz) and obtained her musical education in Austria, France and Great Britain. She studied with distinguished teachers like Jean Loup Gregoire (Bourg-La-Reine Conservatoire), Raymond Guiot (Hector Berlioz Conservatoire), Alain Marion and at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Peter Lloyd, obtaining the Postgraduate Diploma, the Professional Performance Diploma and the Master of Music Degree.
Ulrike H. ANTON won several national and international prizes, among others the first prize at the Concours Musical Regional Ile-De-France for flute in Paris (1994), a radio broadcast at the B.B.C. Radio 2 Young Musician Competition in 1996 and a recital and live radio broadcast (WFMT 98.7 FM) awarded by the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago (1999).
In August 1998 Ulrike recorded her first CD Follow Your Dreams which was already presented on Norwegian radio (NRK Alltid Klassik) and on WQUB 90.3 FM (University Radio Quincy, Ill, USA). In 1999 she produced a music-video Klangbilder, where she also recorded works by contemporary Austrian composers.
Only 17 years old Ulrike started her international solo career at a baroque concert in Brussels and since than she has regularly toured as a soloist in Austria, France, Great Britain, Poland, Norway, the Czech Republic and the USA. Her appearances included concerto performances, duo recitals with piano, various chamber music concerts, radio and television broadcasts.
She last performed at the European Parliament in Brussels, at Washington University in St. Louis (USA), at the Annual Conference of the American Musicological Society in Atlanta (USA), at the Altes Rathaus in Potsdam, as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra Kosice (Slovakia) and the Ensemble della Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco in Florence. She was invited to give a recital at the 2nd International Church Music Festival in Oslo and also at the Autumn Festival of Arts in Banská Bystrica (Slovakia). Her last concert tour brought her to Turkey where she performed in Bursa, Eskisehir (Anadolu Üniversitesi) and Istanbul.
