A group of 20-somethings playing the hot and fiery music of Louis, Bechet, Johnny Dodds, along with the sounds of the West Coast revival bands-Lu Watters, Turk Murphy. Formerly known as The 51st Eight Jazz Band, this new name reflects a new maturity in the music, an emphasis on the explosive New Orleans style, and a re-affirmed commitment to early jazz.
