Matthew Kennedy was born in Zimbabwe & left his home country
of South Africa in 1999 to be the lead singer for the band Khanyisa -
a multi-cultural band signed to Resolve Records out of Nashville, TN.
After touring Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S., the band broke up.
Matthew found himself in Los Angeles dodging jokes
about blow-darts and gigging at local venues such as Hotel Cafe, The Mint,
Temple Bar, Ghengis Cohen, Kat Klub, Harvelle''s and Molly Malone''s.
Kennedy, who cites Coldplay, Robbie Williams, and Keane as musical
influences, will release his full length cd, ''Avise la Fin'', in February ''09.
