Marcin Świątkiewicz graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland in the harpsichord class of Marek Toporowski and composition class of Wiesław Cienciała. As soloist and continuo player he has played concerts in USA and in most European countries. Currently, he studies harpsichord with Jacques Ogg and composition with Calliope Tsoupaki and Cornelis de Bondt at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Marcin has participated in master classes throughout Europe and Canada including those taught by Chrisophe Rousset, Robert Hill, Aline Zylberajch, Władyslaw Kłosiewicz, Menno van Delft, Peter van Heyghen and Andreas Spering. He is founding-member of Haagsche Hofmuzieck Ensemble. In 2007 the group published a CD with Flute Sonatas of Bach, Handel and Teklemann. Marcin collaborates with a Chamber Group of the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Parnassos Ensemble, the Aukso Orchestra, The Scroll Ensemble and St. Cecilia Baroque Orchestra. In 2008 he recorded CD "Musikalisches Vielerley" with German harpsichord music published by Polish Radio Katowice. He was awarded with important grants including: „Huygens” Scholarship, Polish Ministry of Culture scholarship "Mloda Polska", Silesian Voivodeship Scholarship.
