Hope with Dad And We The People
These are Tears of Joy single
A wonderful album that brings the listener through an emotional journey. The CD entices the musical palate with flowing, soulful vocals and peaceful yet strong orchestral arrangements. Reminiscent of the inspirational music of Selah yet holds an historically powerful message all its own.
Track 1 These are Tears of Joy- The beautiful melody and poignant lyrics are emphasized by the background vocals with the fullness of a choir, which adds extra richness to the track.
Track 2 Yes We Can- A dynamic track that fittingly includes an excerpt from the I Had A Dream speech of Martin Luther King Jr. Inspiring lyrics and impressive harmonies.
Track 3 These are Tears of Joy (Background)- A nice track that allows the background instrumentals and vocal harmonies to come alive in the foreground.

This CD, “These are Tears of Joy” was born out of a deep desire of daughter and father to express, in some way, the emotion
experienced by them, and millions of others as they realized
that after some three hundred years of oppression, change
had come. The people of the United States of America, on November 4, 2008 elected their first black president. Hope with Dad, is hoping that this musical offering will become part of this
outstanding historical event.
Dad (Rick) has never forgotten that time, when on a hot day in August, 1963 he walked for freedom, arm in arm with thousands of men and women, girls and boys of all races, through the streets of, Washington, DC to the Lincoln Memorial site where he found a seat on the grassy lawn as he heard with his own ears and saw with his own eyes, Dr. Martin Luther King offer his now famous, “I have a Dream” speech.
Dad also remembers other times and other places. Places where he experienced first hand the results of the inequity perpetrated on him and his people solely because of the color of their skin.
And so daughter and father have come together with, “And We The People” musically, to invite you to share and understand, if you can, the joy expressed in their “Tears of Joy” because of the achievement of one of their own, in becoming the icon of hope and perserverance realized. They hope that as you listen to these most special compositions you will not only have a beautiful musical experience but also an enlightened experience.
