Details:
Harvey Perdue has gospel in his soul and country in his bones. When he sings, you know you are hearing a classic country singer that can make a syllable sound like a paragraph. He can belt out a song that will cut right through you, but he doesn’t sing the same old country song. Harvey combines the traditional country sound with a gospel message of love, hope and redemption to impact people’s lives. “My music is a prayer,” says Harvey, “It’s for people who have been to the bottom, real people struggling with their faith, and problems in Life.”
Harvey is definitely "on target" with his new Country single release, “Get Up Dow Jones.” Maybe it''s time we all had a laugh about the stock market. Even though “Get Up Dow Jones” has a humorous, country boy twist to the lyrics, DJ’s and Country Music promoters have stated, “This is the most current Country song about Today – it''s a song for right now.” A newspaper reporter recently asked Harvey, “How did you get the idea for this song?” He replied, “Well, I know some country folks who know every song George Jones ever recorded and can sing every word, but they don’t know anything about Wall Street and Dow Jones. They really could care less. They go to work everyday, do their job, obey the laws, pay taxes, raise their family, party on Saturday, go to church on Sunday, and back to work on Monday. These folks know how to survive, in spite of The Wall Street Roller Coaster. They really do think maybe Dow Jones is one of George’s kinfolks.“ "Get Up Dow Jones” is the featured song, on Harvey Perdue’s new country album, "We’re All American Kids”. This is Harvey''s 10th Album.
