Details:
“30th Ave,” Dan Abrahamson’s debut solo album, is a compilation of stories about life, death, questions, answers, and the never ending journey down the road of life. Acoustically based, and lyrically driven, Dan’s songs are honest and thoughtful snap-shots of real-life stories.
A former school teacher, youth pastor, juvenile counselor, and community educational specialist, Dan now spends his time djing a variety of events and playing live music at schools, retirement homes and other local and national venues. Although his live shows are a little more energetic and interactive, “30th Ave” flavors more of a mellow and contemplative nature.
Dan spends part of the year in his hometown of Hillsboro, Oregon, and part of the year traveling the world and playing music.
“Hangin’ with the Jones’ Boys” and “Mykonos Girl” contain the talented guitar work of Dave Moore. “Open Road” features the violin playing of Katherine Rhee. Guest vocals appear courtesy of Katie Naylor and Christina Abrahamson. Christina Abrahamson (bass), Dan Carlson (percussion) and Matt Gray (lead guitar) from the band Random Bridge provide instrumentation on the song "30th Ave."
