John O''Brien is the featured piper in Celtic Woman. He comes from a musical family in Artane, Dublin. As a teenager he began playing uilleann pipes learning from his older brother Mick O’ Brien. His influences include Seamus Ennis, Johnny Doran, Paddy Keenan, Willie Clancy, Mick his brother and too many more to mention! John has several All-Ireland titles to his name, has performed in major venues including Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and has toured extensively in the US, Europe, China and Japan with both ''Riverdance'' & ''Celtic Woman''.
Paudie O''Connor hails from Ballyhar, Co. Kerry. His music is heavily influenced by the fiddle music of Sliabh Luachra with his style of accordion playing inspired by three great accordion players of the region - Johnny O’Leary, Jimmy Doyle and John Brosnan. In 2005 he released a critically acclaimed album “Different State”, featuring dance music and airs from his native Sliabh Luachra.
Jim Murray, a native of north Cork, has established himself as one of Ireland’s leading guitarists with a unique rhythmic style and innovative approach to guitar playing in traditional Irish music. Jim has collaboration with a vast array of musicians including Seamus Begley, Sinead O’Connor, Frankie Gavin, Mike McGoldrick, Richie Buckley, Dezi Donnelly, Dessie O’Halloran, Liz and Yvonne Kane and Declan O’Rourke. Jim has been the guitarist with the Sharon Shannon band since 2003 and tours extensively in Ireland, Europe and Australia. However, his enthusiasm for Kerry music endures and Jim is considered the premier guitarist for the performance of Sliabh Luachra slides and polkas!
