MP3 Tim Tormey - Hope and Healing
Imagine James Taylor and John Denver mating... ok, so it''s not a pretty picture, but the musical result would be Tim Tormey''s "Hope and Healing." This is a folk/pop treasure of solid melodies, meaningful lyrics, and top-notch acoustic guitar work.

POP: Folky Pop, EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock
Details:
I have been a musician for most of my life, learning guitar at age 8 and writing my first songs at age 12. In my teens I was in the obligatory "boy band," with front man SCOTT CRAIG from the "New Mickey Mouse Club." From there I was featured in a local "Christian Rock" band (PRIVATE PARKING) and spent the early part of the ''90s as part of the Southern California coffeehouse favorite, TORMEY AND ELLIOTT.
The mid- to late 1990s found me in grad school where I trained to be a marriage and family therapist, obtaining a doctoral degree in family therapy. Now in private practice in San Diego, I decided I needed to blend my love for music with my love for therapeutic work -- the result is my first solo CD of all original music, HOPE AND HEALING.
This project was a real labor of love. There''s funny stuff here (MY FAT BODY, NOT ME-NOT NOW), thoughtful stuff here (LETTING GO OF FEAR, GROWING STRONG IN BROKEN PLACES), and all of it is based on the stories I''ve heard over the years as a therapist. Styles range from blusey to folkie-pop on the 12 tracks.
My hope is that HOPE AND HEALING will bring thought-provokng, good music into your life!
