I love chocolate chip cookies (but only with milk), hot tea, new shoes, anything and everything that has to do with making music, working with wood, playing any and every sport, meeting new people, talking with old friends and most of all spending time with my beautiful wife Joy.
I gave my first solo live performance at the age of 5 and I have never really stopped since. I guess I’ve always been fascinated by the way a song can connect with people and how powerfully it can affect the human heart. Sometimes it almost feels as if the voice of God himself is reaching out to us, carried on the perfect melody and lyric that is somehow able to help us see right into our own soul. That’s what moved me to write my first song, and it’s still why I write today.
I hear people say that everything’s been said and there’s nothing new in music and that always bugs me. We are all growing and changing everyday. Yes there are similarities between us that can form a common bond, but on the heart level we are all individuals with our own unique story. And that story must be told, not just for those that walk beside us today, but also for those who will walk in our shoes tomorrow.
