Some of their ministry highlights include ministering for the LINKS during their national convention at the Philadelphia Convention Center, annually ministering at 2 different communities citywide “A Night Out” events, performing at the Philadelphia Constitution Center for Dr. Jay Fluellen’s music debut with the RELACHE ensemble in a tribute to Ben Franklin, The historic moving of the Liberty Bell to it’s new pavilion, the Crozer Hospital MLK Celebration, African American Museum of Philadelphia, several nursing homes, schools, synagogues, weddings and several ministry trips along the East Coast. Orlando, Florida, Charleston, SC, Charlotte, NC, Richmond, VA, Baltimore, MD, New York and San Jose and Limon in Costa Rica are just a few of the many events and places the choir has been blessed to minister at these past years.

STGC are proud winners of the “Ask About Iron” gospel music competition. Selections from their 2nd CD, “Wait I Say” won in 2006 and “It’s Not By Chance won in 2008. Each song was featured on a separate inspirational CD compilation entitled, “Lighten The Load”. This was given to youth and adults fighting Sickle Cell Disease all over the country.

In November of 2006, the choir was featured at the historic Induction and Seating Services of the Most Rev. Katherine Jefferts Shori. These Services were held at the Washington National Cathedral where more than 3500 people attended service and viewed by thousands more via webcast. The choir proudly sang selections as well as introduced original service music for both services. The highlights of both services were STGC renditions of the Psalm and the Alleluia for the Induction Ceremony and the Psalm for the Seating Service and Ceremony, both written by Walt Blocker. In April of 2008, STGC was the featured choir at the World Women’s International Summit held at the Washington National Cathedral where leaders from all over the world participated.
The music ministry of STGC has already reached thousands of thirsty souls yet understands the need to reach many more. The choir anticipates what God has in store for them after the release of their 3rd recording as they continue ministry during Gods Favor.
