In the summer of 2003, Thom toured NATO and American military bases in the Mediterranean, sharing his artistic talents with the world''s armed forces.
Thom recalls, "I have always had a humbling awe and respect for these people. I never knew how to thank them. But I jumped at this chance. It was one way, my way, of giving back."

For four years, Thom has made an appearance at Nashville''s Country Music Mecca -- Fan Fair. Booth space is limited and expensive, but Thom is loyal to his fans.

In a town where most artists can barely find one gig, Thom''s recruited for charities like Vanderbilt Children''s Hospital, St. Judes, Georgia Baptist Hospital, corporations like Gibson Guitars and various Nashville nightspots.
"We have over 3,000 fan club members. People have come from as far as Spokane, Washington to see us perform. My fans motivate me to keep reaching for that brass ring."
