Liata was founded in 2001 by Lynne Cerro and Rosanna D''Agnillo. Liata''s music is a stylish blend of classical, jazz and folk.
Intermezzo is the long awaited second album of the group Liata. It is a lush collection of songs in English, French and Italian from the 1930s and 1940s.
Liata brings their own unique blend of rich vocals and orchestral arrangements to these classic compositions of the golden days of film. The album is a tribute to the great works of Irving Berlin, Fred Astaire, Edith Piaf and others.
Rosanna D''Agnillo is a classical singer. She is Liata''s lead vocalist and also plays the piano and accordion. Rosanna has been featured on television and radio stations worldwide as well as performing throughout the US and Canada as a solo artist. She is an activist for musicians who are mothers. In addition to her work with Liata, Rosanna does voiceovers and has released two meditation albums, Peaceful Voyage: Healing Meditations Volume 1 and Volume 2 as well as an an album of mezzo-soprano sacred arias & hymns, available at https://www.tradebit.com. Rosanna is married to a big Russian teddybear named Nikolai, and has two young children, Michelino and Ivan.
Lynne Cerro is a pianist, singer & arranger who plays a variety of instruments. As well as being Liata''s primary musician and back-up vocalist, she is the creative and artistic director of the group and does most of the music engineering. Lynne is an established fine artist and commercial artist in southern California.
Liata was joined on the Intermezzo album by violinist MarlaJoy Rubin Weisshaar who performs with the Pacific Symphony in Orange County, California. Many thanks also to clarinetist Jerry Long, who is also featured on Intermezzo.
