Ben Henriques formed the Responsibility Club in 2005 to break away from the repetitive structures of the jazz idiom. Since then, the Responsibility Club has irresponsibly experimented with the boundaries of a small jazz ensemble performing entirely original music in venues and festivals across Canada. Their music is influenced by jazz and non-jazz alike and is driven by the creativity and performances of the musicians within the ensemble, resulting in an exciting, fresh and dramatic journey for any listener.
