MP3 Mustahsen Gull - Go paint your rainbows, don't wait for the rain
Often times, we can patch others’ wounds by just holding their hands. We can uplift their spirits by encouraging them to pick up pieces of their shattered lives and follow their dreams. We all can paint our rainbows – we don’t have to wait for the rain.

Mustahsen (mus-ta-sun) brings this song to the world stage on a special day in the history of his country - the United States of America. Today, on 20 Jan 2009, America starts a new journey with its new president and a lot of hope for not only the USA but the whole world.
The song lyrics tell us only a part of Mustahsen’ life story – a story full of many unthinkable events and encounters. Many years ago, he wrote the following piece:
"Coming to America"
-In my struggle for new life, I have yet to win or lose the toss
-Since the promises of new land are still beyond my comprehension
-But, for one thing sure, I flew quite a few oceans across
-To land amongst the people with so much love and affection
Not only in the United States, but even in his home country, he confronted many obstacles and unjust circumstances. Eventually, when his resignation from the military service was denied, he deserted the army and fled to USA. Chasing and living the American dream was not easy. He remained separated from his wife and two children for seven years. Despite all that, Mustahsen’s attitude towards life has not faltered. He has fallen a few times but he always picked himself up and has kept moving forward – hanging on to his confidence, faith, and freedom. The song lyrics echo the voices he hears whenever he is down and broken. These voices inspire him to continue his fight. In this song, he desires to share with the world what in his opinion are some of the most fundamental things that really matter in life and why it is always important to keep up the struggle to reach your goals. You may not always reach them but, if the passion is strong, the pleasure is in the effort to keep going after them. He once quoted, ‘The fuel for our motivation is in the purpose and vision of our life.’ Therefore, his call to you is:
“Go, paint your rainbows – don’t wait for the rain.”
