MUSICAL INFLUENCES
- The Beatles made a huge impact on me from the beginning.
- Soul music and R&B, along with the Rolling Stones were my musical tastes in high school.
- Later years: Eagles, America, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt
- Now, I have branched out into the country genre with Dixie Chicks, George Strait, Faith Hill, and Martina McBride as favorites.
- Lately, Norah Jones has been a big influence.
My musical tastes are multi-genre which carries through in my songwriting. "The Day," my 4th CD, is a perfect example of this.

"THE DAY" OVERVIEW
Songwriter Sue Williamson''s latest CD, "The Day" is a collection of multi-genre songs that offers something for everyone. From the Norah Jones style title track "The Day," to the country pop ballad "Untie the Knot in My Heart," a la Faith Hill, to the gospel song "I''m Coming Home," to a Merle Haggard sounding "For You and Me"....it all adds up to a fun and easy listening album.
Williamson has written, recorded, and produced this project with contributions from a who''s who list of musicians and vocalists in the Raleigh/Chapel Hill, North Carolina area. Multi-talented composer and arranger Jason Graves is co-producer.
