Details:
David Winogrond (drums) and Jack Chandler (saxophones & flute) share an interest
in creating music beyond category. Their influences include Coltrane, Miles, Ornette, Jimi Hendrix, Ramsey Lewis, and MC5. "Invisible Cinema" is a phrase they use to describe their music, but it is ultimately up to the individual listener to draw meaning from the sound portraits on this debut album.

David Winogrond started playing drums at age eleven. He has an extensive discography, dating back to 1972, that includes many indie rock releases. He has toured both Europe and North America on many occasions. He played on a session with Davie Allan (of Davie Allan and The Arrows) in 1988, became a band member in 1994, and has been working with him ever since. He has also played with To Damascus (Sylvia Juncosa), Pat Smear (formerly with The Germs, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters), and Skooshny (a recording-only band since 1975, with whom he still works).

David’s background is primarily rock, but his ever growing love of jazz led him to start recording a solo album to satisfy this passion. By blending his love of jazz and psychedelia, and then mixing this with the influences of collaborators Jack Chandler. Among his favorite drummers: Elvin Jones, Mitch Mitchell, Keith Moon, Gene Krupa, and Mo Tucker.

Jack Chandler, saxes and flute, started playing saxophone when he was seven years old. He attended the Indiana University School of Music and has toured with big band,
r & b/gospel, circus, ska/rock and salsa outfits in the U.S. and Europe. He has worked with Sonny Simmons (formerly with Eric Dolphy and Charles Mingus), Cliff Hugo (bass player from Supertramp), Michael C. Ford (Pulitzer-nominated spoken word artist), L.A. jazz icon Jimmie Maddin, and Ralph Carney. He was also a member of the Miles Davis
inspired jazz-fusion outfit Bitches Brew, which won Best Live Band at the 2000 San Francisco Bammy Awards.

Influences include Dexter Gordon, Wayne Shorter, Gato Barbieri, Maceo Parker, and Jimi Hendrix.
