Finding the Balance Within was conceived in 1997 when Ariana was laid off from her day job. She had a dream that morning before going into work where she was looking at a CD by KIVA that had a moon and sun on the outside and when she opened up the CD there was an image of the Goddess with the earth as her belly and the sun and moon in her hands. The title was Finding the Balance Within which she understood to mean that the earth is the balance between sun and moon and that she would find her own balance within herself and Mother Earth. With the support of KIVA’s fans and friends our collective vision of Music for the Spirit has been growing for 20 years and counting.
