Music Minus Meds was inspired by Carmen E Dragon, who is an international harpist and healer. In her CD, Healing Harp Meditations, she will take you on a journey inside your body. This voyage begins with an expedition that starts with your inner child, taking you back to a place inside yourself that has been buried beneath layers of hurt and pain that needs to come to the surface in order to heal. Carmen’s voice is soothing and soulful to the listener. There are comforting nature sounds (forest, creek, birds, ocean), in the background that help make the journey cerebral and peaceful.
Carmen is a two-time cancer survivor. The second time she was told by the medical profession that she was terminal and only had months to live. By using her own “music medicine”, she has been able to continue living a truly rewarding life. Her purpose is to impart healing to others and share her story through narrations, which use the harp for healing.
